English traditional music on one-row

12 - Liam Robinson

Liam Robinson plays English traditional music on one row and two row diatonic accordeon and Anglo-concertina. He has performed and taught across the UK, Europe and North America and is always popular with audiences and students. Liam also sings English folk songs and teaches all kinds of English folk dance.

Workshops

This year we will be looking at the music of some traditional English musicians such as Scan Tester, Oscar Woods, Bob Cann and William Kimber, who were recorded in the 20th Century. We will be able to listen to archive recordings of the musicians, learning their tunes and some of their style.

Dance music

All the music is dance music, so we’ll also look at what made it such good dance music. The workshops is suitable for single row instruments in C, C/F trekzak or C/G Anglo-concertina’s.
