Ingunn Bjørgo is a Norwegian composer and recording artist on diatonic and chromatic accordion.
She is a central figure in the folk music and accordion environment in Norway, and gives concerts and workshops both in Scandinavia and Europe. Ingunn also loves playing for dancing, both the Scandinavian way and also some Balfolk.
IIngunn has recorded several albums:
All of her music is awailable at iTunes, CDON, Amazone, Spotify, Wimp/Tidal etc. Some of it also as sheetmusic.
Her music has reached an audience far beyond folk music and old time music, and has been used by among others NRK(Norwegian national broadcasting).
Ingunn also contributes on albums by other recording artists, among them Helene Bøksle, Olav Stedje, Jeff Wasserman and Christian Ingebrigtsen.
Bjørgo’s playing should convince even die-hard accordion sceptics of the expressive power which this much-maligned instrument is capable of, when in the right hands.
